For all of you who are new to fly fishing and those who think they might still have something to learn Flycasters is presenting its New Member Seminar on Tuesday and Thursday evening, May 14th and 16th, at the Moreland Apartments Meeting Room. Doors open at 6:00pm and the seminar begins at 6:30pm. (Northeast corner of Payne and Saratoga Ave. Park across the street at the shopping center and use the crosswalk)

The LEARN TO FLY FISH program is a HANDS-ON CLASS taking place at the Casting Ponds. Class is limited to 10 people to encourage high level of interaction.

SJ Flycasters Annual Banquet

The annual banquet is a social event that includes a social hour with hors d’heouvres, presentation, dinner, silent auction, and club awards. Venue is outdoors shaded by trees.

Our annual picnic/BBQ is scheduled for Saturday August 10th at the Los Gatos Creek Park in Campbell, where our casting ponds are located.

All Flycasters and their families are invited to attend.

The cost of the picnic is $15 each. Everything is supplied.

For that $15 you will get BBQed Tri-tip, BBQ Pork Butt, Super-Bowl Baked Beans, Grilled Veggies, Salad and other sides. Drinks include beer, wine, soft drinks and water. Don‘t forget dessert. Tom Key and Dennis Buranek traditionally bring out their slow rods to the ponds for anyone to try, so come out in the morning before the picnic.

Parking costs $6/car. You can park outside the park and walk in, or if you are a geezer, you can get a senior parking pass.
