Clay Hash has been fly fishing for over 35 years and operates a licensed educational guide service, Fly Fishing Traditions, based in Grass Valley, California. He maintains an educational website focused on fishing Northern California rivers, streams and lakes at www.flyfishingtraditions.com. Clay’s home water is the Lower Yuba River and he has created the “Lower Yuba Hatch Chart” which identifies the most common bugs, when to match them and with what patterns. Clay is an active member of the Gold Country Fly Fishers club and is the committee chairperson in charge of Fish Outs, Clinics and Workshops where he teaches fly casting, fly tying and fishing techniques.
